On Teachers’ Day, 16 May 2013, the staff and students
of Tadika Tunas Canggih brought Joy In A Toy to underprivileged children
at the Miri Methodist Children’s Home and PERYATIM Miri (Kompleks Kebajikan
Hamidah Yaakup).
The Joy In A Toy Project, under the wings of FunGates Superflow Foundation, is a platform to tell a child
that there are people out there who cares for them and are prepared to give
them a toy of their choice on his/her birthday.
Only new and unused toys chosen by the child for her/his birthday are
given because it adopts the view that a child in need should also receive a new
toy like our own privileged children. A toy brings delight to a child and there
is no age limit to wishing to have one. Whilst food may nourish the body of a
person, a toy can nourish the spirit of a child. Toys can bring happiness to a downcast child
and provide relief from challenging circumstances the child may be
encountering.
FunGates Superflow Foundation is a non-profit
organisation dedicated to serving the community with social, welfare or health
needs. Tadika Tunas Canggih is proud to represent FunGates Superflow Foundation in this
Joy In A Toy project as a community service to touch and
impact children through a recognition and a show of love on his/her birthday.
